Household waste recylcing
From 27 April 2026, all North Yorkshire residents must register to use the household waste recycling centres. (Conditions apply for certain vehicles).

Recycling update from North Yorkshire
North Yorkshire Council experiences high levels of contamination in recycling bins from both domestic and commercial properties in the Craven area. A campaign is underway to remind residents of what can and can’t be recycled, and why the council asks them to keep contamination out of the recycling bins.
A letter will be delivered to all residents by the Royal Mail week commencing 25th May.
